Hair Journey

In November I decided that I was going to take care of my hair. I have been wearing weave since college, and never cared for my real hair. I figured no one ever saw my hair so why should I take care of it. My friend introduced me to Black Hair Media in November and I was so inspired. I had never seen so many Black women with long hair. Well maybe I did and just assumed it was weave. That was my ignorance. And now I am on journey with a few of my friends to grown long and healthy hair. During this journey I will also be transitioning. I hope I can stay strong and not give into the tempation to relax my hair. Wish me luck

Fresh relaxer... This will be my last relaxer. The beautician cut off too much of my hair.

Growth after 4 months in an install. I can't believe I left my hair up that long. I almost dreaded my hair. It was so matted. Live and Learn... 2 months is going to be the max.
